This page says what happens to everything you type into this site. It is short because the site collects little, and does almost nothing with it.

Who you are sending it to

This site is mine, and what you send through it comes to me. The legal name of the business behind this site is still to be confirmed.

If you have a question about anything on this page, write to NickoyBarrettcoaching@gmail.com and it comes straight to me.

What the application asks

The application is 9 questions, one to a screen. These are all of them, and 2 of them can be left blank.

  • NameWhat is your name?
  • EmailWhat is your email address?
  • GenderWhat is your gender?
  • InstagramWhat is your Instagram handle? You can leave this one blank.
  • Working towardWhat are you working toward?
  • Training right nowWhere are you at with training right now?
  • Tracks calories or macrosDo you track your calories or your macros?
  • Prepared to investAre you prepared to invest financially in your fitness goals?
  • Anything elseIs there anything else you want me to know? You can leave this one blank.

Some of those answers are about your body, your training and what you eat. They are not medical records and I do not ask you for one, but they are personal, so they are held the same careful way the rest of it is. I am the only person who reads them. All of them are also in the email the site sends me when an application arrives, which means they pass through the company that carries my email, and that company is named further down this page.

The date and time your application arrived is stored with it. Nothing is worked out about you from your answers, no score is put on them, and nothing about you is bought from anybody.

What booking a call adds

When you choose a time, the start and the end of the call are stored, along with the timezone your browser reports. That timezone is kept so the confirmation, the reminder and the calendar file can say the time back to you the way you read it, and for nothing else. The booking is linked to the application you filled in.

The links in your email that move the call or call it off are long random values stored beside the booking. That is how one link is told from another, and they stop working the moment the call moves or is called off.

After the call I record one more thing on the booking: whether it happened or you did not turn up, and the moment I wrote that down. It is a note to myself about a half hour that was held, it is kept with the booking, and it is yours to ask for like everything else here.

What stays on your own device

While you are part way through the application, your answers are saved in your own browser, so that a refresh, a closed tab or a phone locking itself does not cost you your progress. That copy never leaves your device and it is deleted the moment you send the application. An application somebody started and did not finish is not something I ever see.

The site sets no cookies on your browser, runs no analytics, and loads no fonts, scripts or tracking pixels from anybody else. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask you about. The one exception is the admin, which is my own login and keeps a session cookie for me.

Who else handles it

Three companies are involved in running this site. None of them is allowed to do anything with what you send beyond the job written next to its name.

  • Supabase, Database and sign inHolds the applications, the bookings and my availability in a Postgres database, and issues the sign in link I use to read them.
  • Resend, Email deliveryCarries every email this site sends. Your confirmation, your booking emails and your reminder go through it, and so does the notice that reaches me when you apply, which carries every answer you gave. Resend keeps its own copy of what it has sent in its logs for a while afterwards, the way every email company does.
  • Vercel, HostingRuns the site and serves every page of it, which means it handles the request your browser makes, including the address it comes from.

Which part of the world those three hold it in is settled when the accounts are made, and it will be named here once it is.

Who can read it

I read applications and bookings when I am signed in to the admin on this site. Signing in is a one time link sent to my coaching email address, there is no password, and no page anywhere on this site creates an account, so there is no second login to be had.

The developer who built the site and keeps it running can reach the same data while he is working on it. Nobody else can. None of it is sold, rented, or handed to anybody for advertising.

What it is used for

Reading your application before we speak, so that the call is about you rather than about the questions. Sending you your confirmation, your call details, a reminder the day before, and a note if the call moves or is called off.

One more thing, and it takes me off this site. If you give me your Instagram handle, I open your profile and look at it before we speak. That is the only reason the question is on the application, and you can leave it blank. Nothing your account shows me is copied into your application or stored anywhere here. The handle itself is all that is kept, and between that and the list above, that is everything your answers are used for.

There is no mailing list here and nothing to unsubscribe from. The only emails this site sends are about the application you sent and the call you booked.

How long it is kept

Your application, your booking and the note about how the call went stay in the database until I delete them. How long an application is kept after we have spoken is still to be decided. Ask me to delete yours and I will, whenever you ask.

What you can ask me for

  • A copy of everything the site holds about you.
  • A correction to an answer you got wrong.
  • Your application, your booking and the note about the call deleted altogether.

Write to NickoyBarrettcoaching@gmail.com from the address you applied with. I delete the booking and the application together, by hand, because there is no button anywhere on this site that removes either one. Once they are gone, the link that opened the calendar stops working.

Two things are out of my reach when I do that. An email that has already gone out is sitting in your inbox and in mine, and deleting the record here does not reach into either. The company that carried those emails keeps its own copy in its logs for a while, on its own schedule rather than mine.

Age

This site is not meant for children. The minimum age for applying is still to be confirmed, so for now please do not apply if you are under 18.

If this changes

If what the site collects changes, or another company starts handling any of it, this page and the date at the top of it change with it.

The other half of this is the terms of service.
